During the month of July, we already shared a cocktail based on Surfine and gin (you can find the recipe here). In August, we have a cockt-ale entirely based on beer for you to try! Of course, you have already tasted our Peche Mel Bush (shame on you, if you haven’t!), but did you know that you can create a similar beer yourself? The recipe is quite simple: just mix our Bush Ambrée with a raspberry beer of your own choice. (we strongly recommend a beer from one of the other Belgian Family Brewers ;)). For some additional taste, add extra raspberries. Our advice would be to select a mix of...

Brasserie Dubuisson has been brewing your favourite beers since 1769. You already know how they taste, but do you know how the beers are made? Today, we reveal a part of the secret. Get ready to be immersed in our boiling kettle. The boiling vessel is used, as its name indicates, to heat the wort. This malt solution is brought to a temperature of 100°C for one hour. During this time, the liquid is constantly moving. You can see this umbrella effect in the enclosed video. The movement is necessary to increase the boiling speed. The heating process will be slightly different for every beer...

On June 24th, the Norwegian ‘Trollpikken’ was vandalized. Joggers were appalled to discover the famous rock scattered on the ground. At Brasserie Dubuisson the news was also received with great sadness and anxiety. We immediately decided to help our Norwegian friend! When Trolline heard the sad news about the troll’s penis, she was in shock.  The tourist attraction was found on the ground, 12 meters lower than usual. Traces of drilling leave no doubt about the origin of this catastrophe, it is indeed an act of scandalous vandalism! The news also has a devastating effect on our ‘Cuvée des...

Scaldis Amber is a very strong beer with an alcohol content of 12%. It is an amber-coloured beer with a mellow taste and wonderfully bitter. It has a fairly powerful sweet and sour taste. It develops rich aromas of nuts, caramel and bitter orange. Scaldis Refermentée is the conventional Scaldis Amber refermented in 75 cl bottles, and this refermentation in the bottle provides a final blend of both the aromas, which are strengthened, and the flavours of the conventional Scaldis, which become fuller. Scaldis Amber is also suitable for use in cooking. However, because of its accentuated...

Scaldis Blond is a strong beer with an alcohol content of 10.5%. This is a beer which is well-balanced on the palate, with a fine sprinkling of hops and very low acidity. It is only slightly bitter and gives off subtle, delicately perfumed aromas, also offering exceptional digestibility. Scaldis Triple is Scaldis Blond refermented in 75 cl bottles and this refermentation strengthens the aromas of Scaldis Blond, accentuating the nose and the rich taste which were already there. Scaldis Blond is also highly suitable for use in cooking. Because it is only very slightly bitter, it can be used to...
